The Body Shop Wild Cherry Shower Gel

Shower time!
One of the best way to pamper ourselves, don't you think?

I remember my first experience with The Body Shop was back in college, after some saving up I finally got myself a shower gel. Since then I was hooked - to nicey nicey shower gels that is. Back in those days, RM24.90 for a bottle of shower gel is expensive, ouch! Felt like luxury to even own one :)

Hmm before I start to blab some granny stories, here is what I think of the Wild Cherry Shower Gel...

The Body Shop Says:
Best if you want to: Enjoy the lather of a soap-free, non-drying cleansing gel that leaves your skin clean, refreshed, softened and subtly scented.
Best for: normal to dry skin

How it works:
  • Cherry oil has excellent moisturization properties, is rich in vitamins A and E, and contains natural antioxidants.
  • Community Trade honey from Zambia is an effective moisturizer that helps to repair the skin's moisture barrier to restore moisture, smoothness and suppleness.
Ingredients:
Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Polysorbate 20, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polyglyceryl-2 Caprate, Fragrance, Honey, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Levulinic Acid, Prunus Avium (Sweet Cherry) Seed Oil, Myristamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, p-Anisic Acid, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Benzophenone-4, Limonene, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Disodium EDTA, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Denatonium Benzoate, Red 33, Red 4.

Foxy Says:
Texture: Gel
Content: 250ml
Price: RM24.90, but I got it together with Body Puree for RM29.90 :D
Scent: Sweet cherry. See if I sniff it deep at a very close distance, it does reminds me of cough syrup, kinda strong! Hehe else it leaves a pleasant sweet smell. It doesn't last long though.

This lathers pretty well, I usually pour it onto a bath lily for a good bubbles session hehe. It cleanses well, and leaves my skin soft and nice smelling.

Looking at the ingredients list, it does contain quite a number of chemicals.
Not too sure if I'd be repurchasing this though..
