This was introduced as hand serum, to be used before Hand Therapy; hence understandably the texture is light. But to be honest, even for a hand cream addict like me, I find it troublesome to slather on 2 different products..

In a non-air conditioned room, this Hand Remedy does a pretty good job at keeping my hands moisturized. Lasts a couple of washes as well. However, am rather disappointed that it doesn’t give as much hydration in air-conditioned office environment. My hands at times still feel rather tight after applying this. Bummer.

On the positive note, this smells amazing (if you like lime). The scent lingers on and serves as a pretty good pick me up. Very refreshing. And absorption is instant sans oiliness.

Can’t vouch on the evening out skin tone or anti aging claim – my hands are in good condition, except for one mark due to joss stick burn, ouch. I don’t think any product could get rid of the mark sigh.

So if you only require very little hydration for your hands, this may be a good buy.

Except I think it is rather pricey.. I rarely purchase on full price.

Here is a summary of my purchase experience:

Crabtree & Evelyn periodically launches new products, and their members usually get to enjoy a special intro rate. Last year I when they launched the Rose Essence skin collection, I purchased 3 items:

- Day Cream
- Night Cream
- Mask

I had a little problem with the Day Cream. It came in a pump (which is good) and being labeled as cream, I expected – well, cream in texture (duh!). But when I used it, the texture was watery and curdy – like runny yoghurt. It didn’t smell funky, just looked not nice..

Not wanting to risk my skin (having said this, I used it for about a week yo!) I took it back to CE to clarify if the texture was common. They took one pump and instantly offered an exchange. Ahhh I didn’t even have to ask for it (would be a different story if this was some other high end beauty counters).

Because Rose Essence was a limited edition product – I couldn’t get another replacement for a Day Cream. So I decided to replace it with the Citron Hand Remedy. I ended paying another RM15 for this and a small jar of honey.

Yes I did pay slightly more, but the whole experience was pleasant – plus I came home with great products. Would be a shame if I keep the curdy day cream ;)
