Burts Bees Beeswax Lip Balm

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

Burts Bees Says:
The original. The best. And still your favorite. Our must-have balms have been playing in purses and pockets since 1991. Beeswax conditions skin, while antioxidant Vitamin E moisturizes.

A final hint of Peppermint Oil provides that one-of-a-kind refreshing tingle. The result? Smooth, supple lips everyone will be buzzing about.

Foxy Frangipani Says :
It is very rare for me to actually finish a tube of lip balm. I'm very surprised when I find I could no longer twist the tube up! Look at the worn look of the tube lol.

This lip balm isn't like Carmex where the texture is too soft. This is firmer and won't melt. It has a soft smell and when applied on disappears in a few secs.

I like how this balm doesn't irritate my lips. No tingling or redness. But makes my lips feel plump and soft. No waxy layer; my lips feels like mine :) One application can last me a couple of hours too.

I wouldn't mind repurchasing this despite being slightly more expensive than the regular drugstore lip balms.

This is part of the birthday gifts from Burt's Bees. I took it along for my Taiwan trip. On most days except for the day I took my wedding pictures, I wasn't wearing any makeup. Just usual skincare and sunscreen. So I guess this is good enough to melt the dirt.

Unfortunately I didn't love this cleansing cream. It gave me a cooling, tingling sensation each use - in a way I didn't like. Felt a little burning sensation on my upper lip (nope, I did not shave nor have any blemishes there).

This didn't lather at all. But as cream, I didn't expect it to lather anyway. It felt quite drying on my oily combination skin... yet I didn't feel it was enough to really clean my skin; and would follow up with foam cleanser.

Its a shame.. I find that Burt's Bees facial products don't quite work for me..
The probably good thing is that, it is 98.8% natural?

Scent: None
Made in: US

Ingredients:
Aqua (water, eau), glycerin, alcohol denat., royal jelly, glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) root extract, glucose, xanthan gum, sodium chloride, glucose oxidase, lactoperoxidase, caramel

I forgot how much was this serum.. probably about RM100-ish?
Don't have much to say about this, as I wasn't impressed.

Watery in texture, 2 drops are not enough for me. I usually use 4-6 to cover my neck as well. Absorption was pretty good. But I don't find this moisturizing, nor did I detect any radiance on my skin.

My skin condition remained the same throughout the use.. not worse, not better. I'm just glad I finished the bottle..

Happy Belaaaaaated Birthday!

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in

Yeahhh it was a very belaaaated birthday gift from Burt's Bees ;)
My birthday was in January, so imagine my surprise when I received an SMS from Burt's Bees to collect my gift from The Gardens outlet!

It came in a very good time too, as it coincided with my trip to Seoul (so I had to go down to KL anyway).

Came in a neat paperbag, voila!
