Mini Cherry Culture Haul

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in

Looky looky what came in a parcel today ;)

My modest haul from Cherry Culture,  after being good for two months. These lovelies were packed compactly into a tight loaf of bread like. Nothing leaked nothing broken.

Just happy.
Love those blush sticks. And the lip crayon.

Sightings - Watsons 29 June13

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in

The last time I visited Aeon SP was over a year ago.. and I remember the Watsons here were the first in Penang to carry Essence products.

Made another trip today since we miss the food at Black Canyon Coffee.

I am pleased to find these!
Last month after reading one of the women's magazine I went looking for Kanebo Freshel Mineral BB Cream Pore Cover MB but couldn't find any.  I found the entire range including some skincare items here!

Also Essence Illuminating Makeup Base and Skin Perfection Makeup Base were very tempting. Now if only people don't open up too many items and left them to spoil..

KL Trip May 2013

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

The main purpose of the trip is for a night of get together; but somehow the shopaholic in me managed to squeeze in time for shopping.

Something drew me into the Etude outlet in Times Square. The Husband scored some super affordable skincare from the collagen range (he blamed me for his growing skincare addiction heh!)

When it is Buy 1 Free 1, it is difficult to choose...
I had some samples of the Baking Powder scrub from my Korea trip - I love the scent and texture. So of course its the right time to buy!

My eyes did an autopilot looking for blushers.. and settled on Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color. I picked two out of four as one was out of stock. RM41.90 for 2..

The window display at Sasa caught my attention - the massage bar. Turned out free with each Loreal Revitalift product. I chose the moisturiser.

My second trip to Hyakuland (Daiso's twin) - some powders and concealers. I've collected blushers from my first trip back in December..

Some gold and silver eye shadows from Essence. Collections are so much slower in Penang.. hmmm.. just look at the EU releases already hmmph.

Time Square is a great place to shop for accessories. Affordable - belts and earrings at RM10 each. Also, some pretty dresses and cardis also at RM10 each! Now I wish I am a petite Thai size....

The Body Shop Sale May 2013

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

This just arrived today..
The Body Shop is having a sale on their webstore. I was in luck as my favourite White Musk Body Mist is on 70% off :D

They charge a flat rate of RM10 for shipping by PosLaju.
Shipping took about 3 days (excluding weekends); and came properly sealed. No spillage and I immediately took a whiff.

Ooh I love the Passion Fruit Shower Gel! I love Body Shop shower gels and would usually buy when they are on sale. I checked the web again today and these shower gel is no longer offered :S

I also picked up:

Another Fast Growing Collection - Sleek MakeUp

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

A while ago, I commented that my Bourjois collection was growing. Suddenly Sleek Makeup got jealous and gave a competition! Heh, just my excuse..

Just within 3 months my collection grew from nada to... below! Didn't know why I got the eyes pallettes, but I like the shades! Actually I tried a few times and so far, compliments!

And oh.. the blushes, are the reason why I obsessed over Sleek. I tend to avoid paying for shipping, so that's why I waited till now..

Luxola has been earning alot of my moolah, and I have a feeling they will continue to.. because I just got a fat promotion at work *grins* This is my 3rd free bag now.. and I'm anticipating another sale so I could make a damage ordering the bigger Sigma brush set.

Splurging Saturday - Have Some Oranges, A Bath, and Some Colors In Life!

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in , , ,

Weekends are best spent at home, unless you have realy strong resistance and willpower. I know I have strong willpower to buy buy buy!

I always have a weak spot for Crabtree and Evelyn. There are not many range that didn't attract me. I had to try out the Tarocco Orange. The Husband was teasing me crazy because as usual I said I would go just for the sample. But I walked out with all the above :S

Smells like yummy orange juice. The deluxe size lotion and La Source Shampoo and Conditioner; together with the orange pouch are GWP.

In all my trips to KL, visiting Uniqlo became a habit.. I only really splurge when they are on sale. Of late, I fell in love with coloured jeans. Now I just need more tees to pair them up? :P

I tried their shaper when I was in Korea. And I like it. Unlike the conventional shaper, this does not suffocate me. Its snug and gives a great silhouette. Oh this time, they come in lace too. And at RM29.90 its very wallet friendly compared to RM350 for Triumph!

I like it when I'm missed (roll eyes).
Haha I got a 15% discount hence I chose Yves Rocher this time. About time to replenish my shower essentials. Just finished the Sari Ayu Soap and The Body Shop wash. I like the scents already..

Time to hit the bed. Not happy that its Monday so soon..

I Have a Love Hate Relationship. .

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in , , , , ,

... with Sephora! Look what this relationship did to me.
Over the span of 3 months, I made 2 trips to Sephora and made a dent to my purse..

First trip in December:
Soap and Glory Fab Pore Cleanser (RM55) - Funny I didn't spot this at Boots in my Bangkok trips. I like that it came with a muslin cloth. And didn't wait to use this haha.

NYX - Cream blusher (Pink Poppy) RM26, lip pencil, bronzer and lig gloss ("Natural" lip gloss is a free gift). Sephora really need to restock their NYX items more often. Alot of the items are already out of stock.

Benefit Feeling Dandy (RM110) - I've been drooling over Benefit stuffs (especially their blushers) for ages. Bought my first item in Singapore about 5 years back, Dr Feel Good. Pricey but I like!

Since then have been stalking the website but never get to place any order.
I figured spending RM300++ is a little OTT. But buying from the counter is too expensive, comparing the US price. Confusion was me!

Decided to then splurge one time.. and that one time costed me more below; because I love the blusher and the highlighter. Infact I love them all :)

Second trip recently: with 10% discount
Benefit TropiCoral and SugarLicious (RM110). I figured its a great price to try out multiple items, rather than buying full size (I'd never come to finish it, or it would take me a decade)

Another Soap and Glory Fab Pore Cleanser (RM55). Because I love how smooth and clean this makes my skin feels.. and yes the muslin cloth! (The Body Shop SAs do not know what muslin cloths are... hmmm)

One more NYX Blusher (Hibiscus). There weren't much choice left :(

This one, The Husband insisted to buy @.@
Josie Maran Organic Argan Oil Moisturizer (RM169). I think it is kinda expensive but he was all about how great the ingredients are and because I have a 10% discount and all.. I'll see if its really that good.

The devil in me wish Sephora will come to Penang soon, just like Uniqlo. The angel however, says... come anyway!! ;)

When You Have SMS...

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in , ,

... from one of the beauty counters SA, it usually means.. spending.  More so if the center of the nose has a blemish. According to Chinese face reading it is a sure sign of money flowing out.

Max Factor Second Skin Foundation is going at RM40 (usually RM72). I tried 040 Creamy Ivory, matches to T. I heard they are discontinuing Second Skin; so if I love this I'd be really sad.

So then I walked to pay and on my way there Canmake is on 50% off. What happen? Of course I strayed to the blushers and say hello to Powder Cheek in PW05. Tata RM17.45....

Su.Soku products are on 20% (np RM49.90) and the Seamless Short Sleeves Massage Top looks good (hello Parkson, do you really have to have the whole store on sale??)

And to feed my hunger for reading 2 mags this round. Oh I notice Taiwanese Queen magazine is on a monthly publication now.. RM28 monthly? Urks.. maybe next time. And yes I like the Women's Weekly topic on creating luck plus the freebie. Generous 200ml bottle.. last many laundry washes yo..

Wake Up Lazy!

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

Getting woken up to on a weekend isn't exactly the nicest feeling in the world. But when I was woken up by the DHL delivery guy, I was all excited and rushed to the parcel :P

After hesitating for about an year, I finally pulled the plug and placed an order for the Olay ProX Cleansing System brush. :D Knowing myself I would never spend RM500-RM890 for a Clarisonic.

For about 6-7 years now, I've been using one from Watsons. It is also battery operated and I love how after each use, it facilitates the removal of whiteheads. The heads would be visible and halfway out, so all I had to do was use a cotton swab to remove. No need to pinch!

Sadly Watsons doesn't carry this anymore. And the brush head is almost dead by now. So that is why I had to look for another..

This came pretty fast, about 5 days. Neatly packed and nothing was dented.
Unlike the many reviews I've read, it wasn't difficult to remove the battery cap at all.

A closer look.

I've since used this twice, and really liking it much. It gives me the feeling of after using a muslin cloth + face scrub. Sans the redness. I like grainy scrubs, but they usually makes my skin red a little. The brush feels soft, so suitable for sensitive skin too.

My cheeks area looks clearer, but I think it is too early to tell. My goal is to see reduction of blackheads on my nose haha.

Had I tried to wake up early and went for a jog thenn breakfast, I would have missed this baby. Sleeping in is great after all.. ;)

Guardian Haul

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

My collective haul from Guardian - last Christmas 2012.

The first batch - after much drooling at the catalogue and planning. The Live-Well supplements are so worth the price. Second set at 50% off. So one for mom and another for myself. Lately my kneecaps aren't feeling that great.

Palmers! Look at those new range of lotions. The gel type I've already reviewed. Love. But I saw another with SPF15 recently. Haven't got that yet. And the Loreal Youth Code - I have been using it for 2 months + by now.

Bottom left are all freebies. I was eager to try the Palmers Facial Serum, all the outlets I went to didn't have it! :(

Untill New Year's Day when I was casually browsing, Guardian happens to have the offer for vouchers again. The Husband as usual will spend on supplements, so we got the Zinc tablets.

I FINALLY FOUND THE PALMERS FACIAL SERUM!!! Of course I had to get it :D
And more Palmers freebies yay! And lucky I waited, because My Beauty Diary cleansers were on Buy 1 Free 1.

Oh and surprise! Guardian gave me Loreal Brush which I am currently using.

Finally (Finally? Really?) from the second haul, we had some vouchers to spend. One thing I dislike is that the vouchers only last a week. So we had to think what to buy (??!?)

Nivea's new range of course. They smell so fresh I really wanted to try myself if I agree with all the raves. I hope I'll like the day cream (after Naruko) because I've been using some crappy ones but didn't want to waste; but I might just use them up on my legs instead.

Stain Sticks, Growing My Collection

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

The Husband forgot to pack his shaver back, so we took a trip to the drugstore. And I think its a sign to cheer myself up.. (I'm homesick sobs. Its CNY and I'm not at my "own" home).

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable BalmStain is selling at RM26+ what a steal yeah! No I didn't grab all. I managed to refrain and picked only 1. I know I'm supposed to watch my spending this year.

After all I've decided that this snake year is using up products year ;)
I picked 001 Honey a mild pink shade. I am not comfy wearing bolds so this would do nicely.

And Nivea deo as backup. Actually we wanted to meet the RM50 limit for voucher lol. I've recently came to accept roll-on deo. I used to only like anti perspirant but with the negatives about them... I've converted.

These deos are fine. I used to shun them for being sticky and takes ages to dry. Now.. I found a workaround in my routine so iy dries ok.

Happy Chinese New Year to all.  Have a great festive season with loved ones and may you be showered with love, health and prosperity :)

All is Bright, Flower Perfect at My Doorstep

I love it when after a tiring day at work, I came home to find some lil treasures waiting for me :)

Growing my Bourjois collection :))
(Ooh just realized I forgot to post my Xmas haulidays pics!)

Adore the lip glaze set. My first Stila was a lip glaze too.. before Stila moved out of Malaysia.

My Asos Aura Ankle Boots in teal arrived today :)

Whaddya think? Cool eh? ;)

I Just Wanna Have A Quick Look

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in

That was what I said after dinner heading to Watsons. Suppose to come out empty handed but on my way out my eyes lingered the wrong way.

Saw this IN2IT BB Cream with a free Loose Powder. Same price at RM18.90 Thought why not.. since I like their blusher...

And my very first nude nail polish. Lol.. I'm used to dark metallics..

The sachet is an eye cream sample from Pangea.. thought the colours complement each other lol.

** Am tempted to try this out tomorrow.. if I get enough shut eyes. Since my Gowoonsesang BB Cream finished I've not come across a BB Cream as good. In terms of color matching and without white cast.. I need either Boujois foundation or Botanics Colour Adjusting. Wondering if this could be a fave..

Early Xmas Treat

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in

Xmas is a month away,  but I couldn't resist this treat. Not when it can be mine for RM 33 :)

I'm particularly interested in the Evening Primrose Eye Cream. 10ml is almost full size and totally worth it.

The other 4 x 20ml are:
- Pomegranate White Tea Facial Cleanser
- Pomegranate Scrub
- Pomegranate Mask
- Pomegranate Cream-Gel

Goodies from Jakarta

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

The Husband recently was in Jakarta for a couple of days, for work. Guess what? I gave him an additional task - shopping list! :P

I spent quite some time to find out whats hot in Indonesia.. and funny, when I did that last year, I couldn't seem to find any (maybe wrong keyword). This time round, I found many Indonesian blogs!

I gave The Husband quite a long list, but unfortunately the outlet he went to did not have all the stuffs I want..(ahh I missed some of the masks by Martha Tilaar)

Anyway, he came back with the above goodies, despite his super tight schedules *happy!*

See the Hello Kitty tubes?
They are the Vivelle range of body lotions. The 2 tubs are Vivelle body scrubs (I'm curious to try the Lemongrass ones)

The remaining items are from Martha Tilaar:-
- Shimmering powder (this is the trigger to start a shopping list)
- Firming creams for the tums and girls
- Oils for massages

Now, for a good date to start using them :D

Is Vichy Bidding Us Farewell?

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

After being "absent" from the Internet scene for almost two months (there was the wedding, then the honeymoon, and then the failed internet connection which resulted in me cancelling the service); this piece of news is a shocker (like a welcome back boo-yah Vichy is leaving!)

I mean like, realllly? Why?
Vichy is a brand that I don't dislike (except the price maybe, I have to admit, they are not too expensive though). I've tried a couple of their products so far, and I quite like them. There was always a wish list - I'll get them once I finish something (fat chance hah!) / when there is a sale going on (10-20% is no fun) etc.

Never really get to do a big haul. Now they are leaving?
Best part is, things are going at Buy 1 Free 1 now! It is true! News was that by March next year, they'll be kapoofed for good. But check their shelves now - I think they'd be gone by Christmas!

Most of the shelves are almost empty, and some left are single unit only. You don't get to buy at 50% off.
No luck at Queensbay. But the pharmacist was really nice, she called Gurney to see if they have what I want, and reserved a set for me :)

I really only wanted Bi-White Reveal Double Corrective Whitening Emulsion. When I entered Watsons and Guardian, look at what I came out with >_<

I am trying to console myself - it is Xmas, it is ok to pamper myself, bonus is near, Heck, just buy and make myself happy. The Husband wasn't helping either.. he actually got me into buying the sunscreen and the Liftactiv (for him!!) :P

~ Purete Thermale 3 in 1 One Step Cleanser RM64.90
~ Bi-White Reveal Double Corrective Whitening Emulsion RM109
~ Normaderm Night Anti Imperfection + Rejuvenating Care RM49
~ UV Pro Secure SPF 50 PA+++ (Anti Dullness and Evening Effect)
~ Liftactiv CxP RM149
~ Aqualia Thermal  Fortifying and Soothing 24Hr Hydrating Care

All 12 for about RM500++. I guess it isn't too bad eh? :D

** Out of curiousity I did asked if she knows why are they pulling out from Malaysia. Seems that there was some conflict with the importer. That could possibly mean, some months later, some other importer might just bring Vichy back to Malaysia. So bye Vichy; for now. Come back soon!

It Happened Just Like That...

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in

.. on a random day, after a few extra hours at work. I was having late dinner at the mall (wrong move).

While waiting for food, I logged in to Facebook (another wrong move) to find - Dressing Paula is having a sale!

Now I've always like the dresses from Dressing Paula, but mostly resisted paying RM120 for a dress (I shopped too much, so on self imposed restraint). This news was just too encouraging it is a sin not to pop by to check out the sale!

And so I came home with 3 dresses and 1 belt. Lemme just show you the plastic bag for now, as I'm busy packing for my Korea trip - I'll be leaving tomorrow :D

Oh, and over the weekend, I got myself a pair of new sunnies (yep Korea Trip was the excuse) and also a reshaping gel-cream (hmmm wedding was the excuse? Or since the idiotic gym's opening is postponed for the 129834th time...)

Oh and finally a Mr DIY store! So I stocked up more on cute notepads.. and also got myself a set of 3 hangers for my new dresses (*roll eyes*) and a bamboo beater.

Hmm "beating" promotes circulation, and I need alot of it since I sit for long hours... wonder if I can bring it on the plane for my 7 hour flight? Lol..

Lastly some magazines.. Poor Fiance is gonna have a ball of time translating these.. lol.

Oh check out the makeup book by Siao Kai (RM36.80, NP RM56) it came with a nice pouch.

Vintage Sister at My Doorstep

These lovelies arrived like 3 weeks back. Carefully wrapped, and all came in good condition.

Smells like delicious cocoa drink!
