Mango Free Tote

Yesssssss.... I finally got it :D
When I tried to redeem this couple of weeks back, the lady told me that the totes have not arrived yet. (In my heart - aww typical excuse to say no, you're not going home with a free bag). Then she asked if she could keep my coupon (from Female Mag) and when those totes arrived from Spain, she could gimme a call. Depends on my luck though as she already received a collection of those coupons.

Shrugs.. why not yeh? At least she was kind enough to set the expectation right, and there is always a 50% chance to get my hands on one :)

Got an SMS late last night asking me to redeem it asap.. hehe and guess who went to the mall during lunch hour?

Tadaaa here it is :)) I like that the material is strong, and the insides look very military. Enough to fit in a few mags...

Where Did My $$$ Go To In March?

Avon!! I don't know if it was a good idea joining the Avon membership, I kept buying stuffs~! Then again, their products are priced very reasonably, and most of them works. So far have not been disappointed :)

Bad idea once I spotted "mask"....

It gets worse when all you wanted to do at the mall was to have a decent meal.. and after that you walked out only to find a surprise sale! First day of sale... and then there were all those stuffs in pretty packagings and beautiful colors; and as if that wasn't enough, you see tags of "50%", "40%", "30%" everywhere. Geeesshhh..

I usually lunch out, so one fine day while I was getting ready to go out, my colleague sheepishly asked if I would be heading to the mall. She wanted a favour to help her get the Hada Labo lotion.

I said ok, and I came back with 2 bottles. My itchy hands grabbed the whitening one this time. *smack hands* I am loving the moisturizing one, and am curious how well this Arbutin range would work, so here you go..

And a week later, I saw this on sale. RM89.90, but I get 5% rebate for using credit card on a weekend, plus a RM5 cash voucher.

I used the RM5 voucher on the Clean & Clear cleanser (foc toner). Working 12-13 hours a day consistently has given me tiny bumps that are so difficult to get rid of! See if this helps..

I've seen this brand for a couple of weeks, but I have been resisting the urge to step into the shop. When stress strikes, retail therapy rescues. On sale at RM39, and I get to redeem a free facial and a pc of whitening mask. I think I could justify that RM39 spent..

Okay, whats with handsoap!? People around me are sneezing and coughing like nobody's business, and I've just recovered from a month long of cough. No way would I wanna risk getting sick again. Wash wash wash... not a good time to get sick when my project is launching soon!

Pretty affordable at about RM2.++ each?

Bookstore sale~!!

So enough of spending money. Surely I've gotten some nice freebies, right?

Asience shampoos and conditioners from Cleo and Malaysian Women Weekly mag. Generous sized samples, perfect for travelling :)

Clinique sent me a postcard to redeem Moisture Surge!

The new Lancome whitening serum...

What are my next buys and freebies? Yours?  :)

Kose 25th Anniversary Workshop with Niu Er.

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

The most expensive workshop I've ever attended.. RM300!
But I wanted to see Niu Er in person, so bye bye 300 buckaroolas.. :P
And no regrets!

It was on a Sunday, 14th Mar @ E&O Hotel.
I arrived early and was waiting outside the ballroom, when he walked out, all dressed in white. Pleasant looking fella, and the first thing I noticed about him was... dang.. his skin is perfect!

So fair! Soft spoken and very pleasant mannered.

A while later, the ballroom was quickly filled up, and Niu Er made his "official appearance". Xandria Ooi looked stunning in blue. And so the workshop started.

Some of the tips from the workshop:-
(I might have left out some pointers as I don't really understand Mandarin. Niu Er spoke pretty decent English thank god!)

- If you have blemishes on your lower chin, it indicates digestive problem.
Try changing your diet to see if there are improvements.

- To have radiant, beautiful eyes sans a la goldfish / panda, when applying eye cream, tap lightly for about 200 times. Yep, 200 times of light tapping around the eye area. I tried, it only takes about 2-3 minutes. And yes! I see slight improvements so far! I don't have puffy eyes (thank god and touch wood) but dark circles were visiting thanks to the consistant 12-13 hours of work everyday.

I find that by tapping more, the eye cream gets absorbed completely without leaving behind stickiness. No shine :)

After all that tapping, do about 2 rounds of accupressure point massage, each lasting about 2-3 seconds.(also around the eyes socket).

Finally, warm your palms and cup over eyes for a short mo. Tadaaa, try it if you've not already.

- The mantra in applying toner is: Sweep, pat, leave on.
Niu Er demonstrated this on an attendee, and the difference was very obvious. The half where he used this technique was shine free, and no oilliness when moisturizer was applied on.

Always use a cotton pad. Pour some toner on the cotton square, sweep gently from center of the face outwards. This is to help to remove dead cells.

Next tear the cotton square into half, and use the inner sides to pat onto skin. This is to assist absorption.

Finally, leave on the cotton squares onto face for a few minutes - act as a quick mask.

You can then apply emulsion using the cotton square. I'm not practicing this as my current moisturizer is of thick cream..

- Applying sunblock.
Do this in stages, intervals of 3 minutes or so. Apply light layers each time.
The last layer: tap on nose, forehead and cheekbones for a natural sculpted look. Then you're ready for makeup base and powder :)

- For effective deep cleansing
Cleanse your face.
Then apply another layer of cleansing oil.
Wrap on with cling-on wrap.
Leave it for 10-20 minutes and proceed to wash as usual.

Do this about 2-3 times a week to treat open pores and whiteheads.

- For clearer skin
Do regular lympatic massage. Press firmly under your earlobes, along the sides of your neck, down to the hollow of your collarbone. Yep it will hurt the first few times. Mom taught me this some years back, and I've been doing this quite often, so it doesnt really hurt now :)

Firmly pinch your underarms for about 7 times. And remember to drink lots of water. I like to end my practice with a cup of warm water.

The best part of the workshop?

The goodie bag! Hehehe.

7pcs goodies from the Supreme Range.. and because on that day, all purchases would be getting 5x points, I picked up Esprique makeup base, an eyeshadow and Dramatical Stay Pact UV SPF25/PA++. *happy*
