Kiehl's Says:

The potent 99.8% naturally-derived and paraben-free botanical elixir works all night to regenerate, repair and replenish the skin barrier for younger-looking skin by morning. The rich blend of naturally replenishing botanical oils including Squalane, Evening Primrose, and a blend of essential oils known for their therapeutic, balancing, and antioxidant effects, works with the skin's natural nocturnal activity to dramatically restore skin by morning.

This lightweight, readily absorbed elixir effectively restores skin's healthy appearance overnight, resulting in smoother, more radiant complexion by morning. Enriched with Squalane, a botanical lipid similar in molecular structure to natural skin lipids, Evening Primrose Oil, rich in Omega-6 Fatty Acids and Essential Oils including Lavender, our formula provides a boost of intensive moisture to depleted skin.
These natural oils instantly penetrate the skin surface to help replenish it. Our recovery concentrate works at night when skin is most receptive to repairing itself from daily aggressors. With skin hydrated, supple and soft, rest assured you can say goodnight to tired-looking skin.

Scent: Very soothing and soft botanical
Nett Wt: 30ml

Price: RM200
Texture: Non sticky, runny
I heart heart heart this! Really, seriously. If I have to give up all my other lotions and potions, I'd be happy just to keep this one :)
It was a gift from The BF this year (yay we have Kiehl's in Penang!). Been using this since Jan, and I'm no where past the first 1/5. The SA recommended that I only use this 3 times a week, 2 drops each. But being me.. I use about 4-5 drops because I like pampering my neck and shoulders too.

Each application resulted in very clear, well rested skin! Even on the time of the month. Sometimes, I skipped toner and night cream altogether. Just a few drops of this elixir. Gently patted on.

The scent is not overpowering, but just gentle enough to lull me to sleep.
And best of all, it does not leave me with sticky residue - no hair on my face :D

I'd be happy to spend RM200 on this again!

Lennox FirmUp

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in

(I just noticed I have some entries left unpublished! Some missing pictures, some pending for updates.. So you'll notice a sudden blog entry diarrhea from me lol )

When your Sunday afternoon was spent working in the office, it is natural and completely completely normal to:

- Curse whats life without weekends off?!
- Get the itch for retail therapy
- Prepare a list of items to buy (although there's really nothing that I need)

The weekend before (this is probably 1-2 months back lol) that I saw this at Guardian. FirmUp collagen drink.

On sale at RM62.88 for 10 bottles. And what was more interesting was there were discount coupons - RM10 off!

There was only one box left, and Momma wisely said "Buy if you really want it, while on sale. Else you'd regret it". I came home with my first box of FirmUp heeee...

Cute pinks

Now I wonder if all these are true..

I didn't follow the suggested 1 bottle daily for 10 days. I take one every 3 days at night. Like the taste. Reminds me of Fanta Grape? :)

BUT, it has sort of tiny cockroach-ish after taste?? Just very little... heheheh.

Update: I finished all 10 and another 2 sets thereafter. What I noticed is that my nails looked better, healthier, shinier. My skin is not prone to stress-rash that often anymore, but does not mean I now have perfect skin. No signs of getting fairer hmmm. Just satisfactory.

The last couple of bottles was extremely difficult to open! Put me off drinking these (hahahha yeah convenience is important to me)

I thought I'm done with these, but then Guardian came up with 48 bottles (24 each in a super huge and cute bottle) selling for RM235! Arrrghhh decisions!
This devilish thought came up to me.. well since I'm preparing for my wedding (The BF proposed last night!), I'd wanna look good eh? So..... :D

Foxy Says:

Price: RM250
Scent: Next to none
Texture: Gel-creme, white

I didn't use this twice a day as suggested, could have created havoc on my combination skin if I did.. I used this mostly in the morning; because upon applying this on, it feels like having a smooth layer of skin (its the dimethicone). Kinda acts like a base for me.

So yes to velvety feel, but perfected look? Depends on your skills in applying foundation..

But thats just it. Other than the smooth feel, it didn't do much to my skin.
My pores are just as visible (or huge). No additional radiance what-so-ever.
What a bummer, really.

Didn't cause me breakouts, but could be drying.
In the late evenings I could actually see fine lines on my cheeks when I smile. Eeeksss...

I won't be re-purchasing for sure.
Not worth the RM250 spent!

Soap and Glory - Peachy Cream Big Butter

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

Soap and Glory Says:
What’s in this stuff?

Shea Butter, Peach Oil, Cocoa Butter, Beeswax and Fruit Acid Skin-Smoothers.

So much the butter. Apply Big Butter Peachy Cream often and generously over your whole body to reduce the chances of being scared by your own skin.

So? It exfoliates, hydrates, softens, smoothes and leaves your skin as dewy as a peach peel.

Fewer calories than regular butter – in fact, this stuff isn’t even edible!

Ingredients:
Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane (Avobenzone), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), PEG-8, Cyclomethicone, Cetyl Palmitate, Glycerin, Steareth-2, Isononyl Isononanoate, Petrolatum, Steareth-21, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Acer Saccharinum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Extract, Vaccinium Myrtillus Leaf Extract, Prunus Persica (Peach) Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Tocopherol, Retinyl Palmitate, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Parfum (Fragrance), Disodium EDTA, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Aqua (Water), Propylparaben, DMDM Hydantoin, Benzophenone-3 (Oxybenzone), Benzophenone-1, Sodium Hydroxide, Diazolidinyl Urea, Amyl Cinnamal, Geraniol, Citronellol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, BHT, CI 14700 (Red 4), CI 19140 (Yellow 5), Bis-PEG-12 Dimethicone Beeswax, Limonene

Rated 4.3 / 5 in MakeupAlley ;)

Foxy Frangipani Says:

Scent: Yummy peach
Nett Wt: 300ml
Price: Don't exactly remember, but it was less than THB200
Texture: Thick pastel orange cream.

I'll admit, I was first attracted to the quirky packaging. Next was the test by The Nose - likes! *Chucked into the cart*

At 300ml, its a huge tub and lasts me a very long time. It really does moisturize my skin. On some days my lower legs are prone to look scaly (not pretty, but this is way better than my high school time - they always looked scaly and itch!!) I love massaging this into my skin, but I really prefer this on my legs and on days I sleep with PJ pants.

The texture is very rich, and I do not really like this on my arms. I'm a picky sleeper. I don't like the stickiness to get on my sheets, and the "kinda-soiled" feel on my sheets is certainly a no-no. On rainy days / with air condition, I gladly slather this on, and then wrap myself in cotton sweater and pants. Sleep a good sleep, and voila! Wake up with very soft and moisturized skin.

When I shower though, my feet feels slightly oily... Makes a good hand / foot cream too. Slather on a thick layer, and then put on a pair of gloves / socks. (Yep, I cannot survive winter - I can sleep with gloves, socks and sweats in Malaysia weather).

I'd buy this again, when my 1293845 other tubs of lotions finishes :P

Foxy Says:

Nett Wt:200ml
Texture: White cream
Scent: Classic Nivea scent
Price: RM14.88

I bought this by chance. I was reading The Star and came across Loreal Cleansing Milk for RM18.88 so I headed to Guardian to spend some money :P
Incidentally, it was sold out. But by then I'd already want a cleansing milk desperately. I'd kill my skin in no time with twice a day foam cleansers.

Determined to get a cleansing milk anyhow, I came across Nivea range and this caught my eyes. No mineral oil :D Eucerin and a few other brands has mineral oil in them. And it was on sale RM14.88 hooyah! That was all the encouragement I needed. :)

I didn't know this is a highly raved product. Now I join the team.
I love it! I use this in the mornings, each time size about 20 cents coin. Its creamy, but it rinses well with water (unlike Boots Cold Cream).

It keeps my skin nicely moisturized, no tight feeling. And the classic Nivea scent is soothing. Oh, doesn't sting my eyes too.

I do see myself re-purchasing this (if I am not diligent enough with grapeseed/olive oil) :)

Scent: Strong medicinal
Nett Wt: 4.25g
Price: RM12.90

Hmm this is about the 3rd time I re-write this post because Blogger failed to save it! Grrrr..

Each application left me with uncomfortable tingling feel, especially on my upper lip. Then followed by slight itchiness. Fortunately it did not cause redness.. I guess it could be the menthol.. but I'd rather not risk this. Itchiness usually comes with redness and I don't like to look like I have cold sores...

The only thing I like about this is the SPF 15.
Couldn't wait to finish this.. I'm currently saving this for weekend home use.

Ingredients:
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Octinoxate and Oxybenzone, two sunscreen agents

OTHER INGREDIENTS
beeswax, cetyl ester, camphor, euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax, flavor, fragrance, lanolin, linmanthes alba (meadowfoam)seed oil, menthol, ozokerite, paraffin, petrolatum, phenol, salicylic acid and theobroma cacao(cocoa) seed butter.

Watsons Exfoliating Body Wash - Orange Extract

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

Watsons Says:
- Smoothes your skin and helps prevent the signs of ageing

Foxy Frangipani Says:
Nett Wt: 400ml
Scent: Citrusy, like Tang :)
Price: RM7.90 (second one at RM1)
Colour: Orange with tiny beads

This scrub smells amazing. However I find that the beads are not coarse enough for a good scrub. Probably that is why Watsons markets this as a body wash. Suitable for daily use.

Washes off easily too..

Leaves my skin smooth and non drying.

ROC Soya Epil Control Hair Minimising Moisturizer

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

Remember this? Anyone?
Years and years ago.. I got this after being very curious about a body lotion that could help to minimize hair growth. I mean which girl doesn't like this yes?

I chucked it after about 90% of usage, and today I am about to get rid of the bottle for good :P *spring cleaning*

I don't see this in Malaysian market anymore, I guess has been discontinued.

ROC Says:
Developed as a result of continuous RoC research, the advanced body moisturizer SOYA EPIL CONTROL has been specially formulated with Active Soya, an exclusive patented technology containing unique proteins that work with the natural resting process of the hair to slow down the appearance of hair re-growth.

Foxy Frangipani Says:

Nett Wt: 200ml
Made in: France
Texture: Cream in pump bottle
Scent: alot of soy!
Colour: White
Price: I don't exactly remember, but it was expensive as I had to save to buy it! (in my college years)

Easily absorbed, and left behind no signs of stickiness.
But - it didn't work! No not in minimizing hair! :P

The scent did not put me off, but it wasn't anything floral / fruity nice. Still the fact that it didn't work, irked me somehow..

L’Occitane Rose Velvet Hand Cream

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

L'Occitane Says:
This cream, enriched in Shea Butter and vitamin E, repairs, nourished and protects hands from daily aggressions. The hands are moisturized* and delicately perfumed with the fresh and slightly fruity fragrance of the Grasse rose, the Bulgarian rose, the Moroccan rose, and the Turkish rose.

Foxy Frangipani Says:
Nett Wt: 30ml
Scent: Strong rose
Texture: Gel-crème
Price: n/a this is a gift :)

This hand cream soothes my hands at about 70-80%, I have to re-apply after every wash.

However, the scent lasts for ages! Seriously, like hours after a couple of washes! I love to apply this on my arms and feet and it’ll be like wearing a really nice perfume :)

I think this is limited edition..
