Sabai-arom Starfruit & Star Gooseberry Hand Cream

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

Sabai-arom Says:
Keep your hands smooth, soft and youthful-looking with this piquantly-sour Thai fruit punch. Starfruit, Star gooseberry and Indian gooseberry contain high amounts of natural Vitamin C – a potent antioxidant.

In Thailand, these tropical fruit are also highly popular delectables. When fresh, we like to eat them with a chili & sugar dip; or they can be eaten like prunes-pickled or dried. Try it and let us know if it deserves a thumbs-up!

Hmmm another hand cream!? Yesss by now some would have already figure out I'm very much a hand / body cream and facial mask person. ;) I slather on hand creams like almost after every handwash (though not so when at home).

Size: 75g.

Colour: Very light pastel green (almost white)
Texture: Creamy
Price: I think it was 75 Baht
Re-purchase: Maybe

So how did this fare compared to the Papaya Fruit Salad Hand Cream?

I like the fresh limey scent of this hand cream. Sourish but very refreshing.
Its absorption rate is very quick, and is non-oily.
It doesn't "scar" my keypads haha.

I only use this at home, hence I don't know if this works well under constant air-conditioning. Hydrating factor is satisfactory :)

Ingredients:

Water, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-75 Stearate, Ceteth-20, Steareth-20, Cyclomethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, C30-45 Alkyl Cetearyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Glycerin, Octyl Dodecyl Benzoate, Averrhoa Carambola (Star Fruit) Extract, Emblica Officinalis Extract, Passiflora Edulis (Passion Fruit) Extract, Phyllanthus Distichus (Star Gooseberry) Extract, Parfum (Frangrance), Simmodsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Acrylate, C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hydroxide, Bht, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyehtanol, Methylparaben, Propyl Paraben, Yellow 10 (Ci 47005)

Freebie: Sunsilk Hair Fall Control

Somewhere last week I was surprised to find this in my mailbox..

Was cracking my head thinking who sent this as I didn't purchase anything online.

Ahh free sample from Sunsilk, I registered for one ages ago!

Quite a generous size for sample, I must say.
Took a whiff, and it was pleasant :)
Soon to try this, after my current ByNature shampoo..

Hmm another tube finishing by tomorrow~!
This has a sweet scent, kinda strong; so may not be for everyone. It does lingers on for a while though.

Absorption is good, only a couple of seconds for me, and leaves no trace of stickiness or oiliness. Plus point.

However under air conditioning, the hydrating function doesn't last long. Probably stretch to about an hour max, or after each hand wash. Not a good hand cream for me at work, but when I used it at home, I was pretty happy with it.

Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cetyl Alcohol / Glyceryl Stearate / PEG-75 Stearate / Ceteth-20 / Steareth-20, Cyclomethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane and C30-45 Alkyl Cetearyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Glyerin, Octyldodecyl Benzoate, Citrus Amara (Orange) Oil, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Extract / Mangifera Indica (Mango) Extract / Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Extract, Garcinia Mangostrana (Mangosteen) Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Acrylates / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum (Fragrance), BHT, Phenoxyethanol / Methylparaben / Buthylparaben / Ethylparaben / Propylparaben / Isobutylparaben, Yellow 6 (CI 15985), Red 33 (CI 17200)

Badger Stress Soother

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in

I don't usually review a product until I'm either finishing it or at least halfway thru it. So what prompts me to review this new baby I've got just 2 months ago? There is barely a significant dent made to it so far..

- Its 8.30pm and I'm still in the office
- I'm super hungry
- I can feel headache + slight dizziness coming my way
- I'm freezing to death soon
- My eyes are screaming for sabbatical
- I have a grumbling fella in front of me
- All of the above makes me irritated and grouchy.
- I AM STRESSED!

Ideally I'd love to leave for home immediately, soak in warm bubble bath and sip some wine.. but really, how possible is that?

The next best thing? Whip this baby out, look at the cutie and feel some stress beginning to melt away. Start with a tiny smile eh..

Then breathe in deeply...  ooh that uplifting tangerine scent! So calming and soothing. I like to rub a little on my temples, nose, wrists and inner hollow below my ears.. and continue to breathe innnnn...... ouuuuuutt.

After a mo, I really do feel less tensed. Cheery as in not so grouchy anymore.
Oh best part that I realized? I am less tempted to "bark" even during PMS - now thats great! It does calm my headache to a degree, not completely.

Doesn't feel oily, absorb almost immediately, doesn't stain. And it is organic :D

Priced at RM49.90, I got this at JustLife @ The Gardens.
28g may seem little, but I believe this tin will last me a long long time..
Just a small dab is needed each time.

Badger Says:
Our Stress Soother promotes calm and courage when times get tough. This balm is easy to use and smells great.

Badger Bill chose specific oils for this balm to help people "rise to the occasion".

In traditional aromatherapy, Rosemary instills clear thinking and confidence; Tangerine and Spearmint are uplifting and cheering; Cedarwood helps build inner strength; Roman Chamomile and Lavender are soothing and relaxing, and Rose is all about love and forgiveness.

Good stuff to promote calm, courage & relaxed awareness when times get tough. Rub it in, breathe deep, think good thoughts and expect results!

Ingredients
*Extra Virgin Olive Oil, *Golden Yellow Beeswax, Essential Oils of *Tangerine, *Lavender, *Rosemary, *Cedarwood, *Spearmint, Rose Otto & *Roman Chamomile, and CO2 Extracts of Rosehip & *Calendula.

Yippie, more Badger reviews coming soon.

I Got It! I Got It!

*grins*

So after months after months of working long hours, enduring the freaking cold office air condition and getting really dull looking skin...

On top of the obvious lack of sleep and social life..

I finally got what I was working for..

I've got a promotion! :D *whewwww*
Now I can grin non-stop and relax a little haha.

So over the recent weekend, I decided to pamper myself. Starting with sleep... just sleep.. so nice that it rained in the morning, so I only woke up somewhere near 11.30am :)

And then I thought why not treat myself to something special?
A bottle of Lancome Genifique maybe? (it was on sale on Saturday RM295, rebate RM40, 4 pcs GWP, plus a ticket to Niu Er workshop on the 14th).

After a tasty chicken rice + chai boey lunch, I headed to the mall. First.. my 20 min mini facial by Origins.

A simple double cleanse, scrub, mask and moisturize using their Dr Weil Plantidote Mega Mushroom range. Product scent is tolerable, I quite like it, and not sticky at all.

My face usually end up reddish upon cleansing, but within an hour or so after the mini facial; there were no signs of redness. And I didn't shine, haha. *pleased* Just not pleased with the hefty price tag...

The SA gave me some samples, also from the Zero Oil range..

And something caught my interest. Their facial promotion.
Its a buy 6 free 3 promo. Each costs about RM118, so total would be RM708 for 9 sessions. Which comes to about RM78.66 each.

And what is more.. Each session will include a sheet mask (RM28 in value), so that means the 1.5 hour facial is only.. RM50.66?! Its a deal or what?
Best thing is that it includes alot of massage, which I absolutely love... so just a matter of time before I sign up haha.

So after that, I headed over to: Tadaaa!

Crabtree & Evelyn sent me news of their new skincare range - The Rose Essence collection. I think they knew I was gonna get promoted around this time! And I will always only buy products from new range at trial prices :))

First, redeem some samples - Night Creme and Deep Cleansing Clay Mask.
Next of course was touching and testing out the samples... and then...

So you see, that was why I didn't go for Lancome instead..

The body lotion sampler is a free gift :)

Came home with:
- Rose Essence Night Creme
- Rose Essence Daily Protector & Moisturiser with SPF15 (I love the texture)
- Rose Essence Skin Nourishing Mask

My next damage was a simple pair of sandals from Atlanta, RM19.

And 3 pairs of foot covers at RM10 - no sweaty smelly shoes!

What about some freebies?

Ok time to head home.. enough of self pampering already :D
My Misai Kucing plant looked healthy and ready for harvest..

Good to let dry and then enjoy a cup of misai kucing tea. It helps to regulate blood pressure, and very good for diabetics..

I shall end this post with my favourite yoghurt.. can you guess whats my flavour? ;)

I haven't tried Fantasy Paradise before, but Berry Bliss is total yumminess!
I usually snack on yoghurt if my tummy wants some late night love lol.

Kose Indulgence

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in

One of my belated posts, thanks to my super procrastination :P

It is good news when the sale is on, better news when you get RM20 vouchers for each RM100 spent, and best news when you use vouchers to purchase and redeem vouchers in return! The bad? Slightly guilty because those vouchers aren't mine - those were The Bf's.

Anyway, guilt aside these are part of my hauls lately. Guess who got addicted to Kose after the 25th Anniversary workshop? ;)

I really wanted to try their new sunscreen, so here it is, among my other buys..
- Sekkisei Sun Protector SPF50 PA+++
- Seikisho Clear Lotion
- Seikisho Exfoliating Massage Gel
- Beaute de Kose Pore Serum

And the best part, the freebies:
- Sekkisei Lotion Mask x3
- Sekkisei Eye Cream
- Sekkisei Essence Excellent
- Sekkisei Lotion
- Sekkisei Cleansing Cream
- Sekkisei Sun Protector (mini)
- Sekkisei Herbal Esthetic Mask
- Sekkisei Emulsion
- Sekkisei White Liquid Wash

Happiness! I'm saving these for another 1-2 months so that I can try the complete range :)  Except for the sun protector which I am currently using, and I love it. Separate review soon..
