Itching For Grace

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in

I'm a weak soul.
I get distracted easily whenever I get emails from Strawberrynet.com

My credit card hates me because this is what happened recently (really recently, not last month :P )

I "accidentally" spotted Grace. Philosophy The Color of Grace. And for some reason I can't (refused) explain, I can't work properly until I get my hands on this.

As usual, ordering process was very smooth, and this baby arrived within 3-4 days. I got it for less than RM50. Ahhhh Grace....

I'm A Procrastinator

... when it comes to blogging (as if you don't already know right). Well I blame it on.. uhh *quick find me a reason!* okokidontactuallyknowwhy.

Editing picture is a chore hehe. I'd go shop my heart out and when I get home, I'd feel so dead to even take pics.. (but I remove makeup and do proper cleansing haha). By the time I'm done with pictures, I need another set of time to actually blog/write about it. Nope, can't do it at work. Usually back to back till the sun disappears.. >_<

So... I need help yes? :P

Anyway, supposed to post this up last Dec, but you know.. alloftheaboveexcuses applies....

Are you ready for a blog diarrhea? Coz I'm feeling tensed and I need to blab..

Spending Christmas at the malls is amazing.. so lovely.

But hmm I got food poisoning and ended up puking the whole day! (God I've never puke that much)

My modest haul. This time I managed to keep within my budgeted 20 items max from Daiso haha. Exactly 20 items yo. To come back and found out one is opening in Penang! This coming Saturday yay!

2011 CNY is gonna be a total wardrobe change for me I think. I have enough shoes (trying my luck as I usually can't wear close up shoes - hurts like hell) and clothes to last me thru 15 days, and my closet is giving me a dirty look. :P

Notice the little pump thingy - Beautipon? I think this is supposed to suck blackheads out while firming up the skin? Hahahha I dunno, just looks interesting. Didn't really seriously try it yet. But I took a few pump and actually quite like it :)

Guess who is painting her nails purple this CNY? Meeeee.. such gorgeous shade. Now I need to work on hydrating my cuticles.. yeeks having quite ugly nails now. Blardy temperature, so cold.

I also went Sunscreen crazy - spotted a new range from Sunkiller and I got 3. So far only tried one - the pink one. Not very impressed (My HG is still Kose), probably 3.5 out of 5. It still gives me whitish cast, which I top with BB Cream and when all these oxidizes, I look pale - not pretty!

Before this I tried on Deary Sunscreen which I bought from Taiwan (wait, I didn't post anything abt Taiwan too right? OMG) - FAILED big time. 2/5 Sooooo WHITE! Using it for my feet. (Yes yes I haven't post a proper review).

I get a lil paranoid about Skin Cancer, hence you see I got sunscreen for body as well. Even though I'm only exposed to sun for like 5 mins daily. Maybe it is the itch to buy? :P

Rilakuma mugs are on 50% sale, and because I was trying to spend wisely *ahem-cough-cough-cough* I bought only 1, and a fleece blanket too. Send me winter and I can assure you - come collect my frozen body. Absolutely afraid of cold. But I love winter hols.. (can you tell I'm slightly mental at times by now?)

Biovalley Shampoos! Finally found them at Guardian. The ones at Tesco looked dirty and most had the content spilled out :S A cheaper alternative to my favourite Redken Body Full.

Getting back to my Tarot obsessions.. If only MPH would bring in more decks. But I'd be broke.. I should spend more time re-sharpening my skills in Tarot Reading. Maybe consider a course.

Ok, I think this is enough. I have other hauls waiting an explanation from me on the delay. (Hint - never make any resolution to shop less)

Loreal Hydrafresh Instant Freshness Toning Water

Foxy Frangipani Says:

Nett Wt: 200ml
Colour: Light seagreen
Scent: Smells fresh, like cucumber..?
Made in: Indonesia

I don't give much thought about using a toner.. depends on my mood really.
If I'm in a rush, I'll just conveniently skip toner and go for serum etc.
But toner does help to get rid of dead cells eh..

Hmm I'm not crazy about this, nor do I dislike this.
Pretty okay is moisturizing my skin. I prefer to use this in a spray bottle rather than cotton pad.

After cleansing, I'll usually spray a generous amount all over my face and neck; then proceed to get partially dressed.

The continue on with eye cream and serum. By then my skin would still be damp and absorption of serum is better.

I also use this to mix powder mask, instead of using plain water. Won't break my bank since this is affordable... it adds more moisture to my skin.

Unfortunately it doesn't tighten pores haha. Nor illuminates :P
Just glad to finish this...

Foxy Says:

Scent: A little clinical but I'm fine with it.
Nett Wt: 50ml
Price: Usually RM100, but i bought it in a promo pack with cleanser for about 70-ish?
Texture: White cream, non-runny

So I tested this in different ways (in each one, I went out for lunch with 5 mins walk under the sun; and sunscreen is staple):

Without Serum, without BB Cream
- No blotting required. Fantastically matte. However, a little too drying after 11 hours in office with air conditioning. Hint of fine lines slightly visible.

Without Serum, with BB Cream
- Still no blotting required. Skin looks normal throughout the day, but started to look a little tired after about 11 hours.

With Moisturizing Serum and BB Cream / Foundation
- I love this combo the most! No blotting required, non oily, skin stays nicely plumped up and looked fresh even after 11 hours in the office. Feels smooth to touch (yes due to the +cone).

Best of all, BB Cream / Foundation doesn't smudge off! :D

With Moisturizing Serum, without BB Cream / Foundation
- Better than the second condition. Doesn't look dry and tired. Non oily, no blotting. After 11 hours, skin is slightly better.

Oh, this is one of my top HGs!
Doesn't break me out, doesn't make me shine, got it at a promo price.
One pump is enough for the whole face + neck.
Keeps me nicely hydrated  (though only day time). I would definitely re-purchase this, on sale yeh!

*Don't think this is suitable for dry skin though..

Eve Taylor Face Oil No 1

Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in ,

I was introduced to this face oil about 6 years ago. Have been using this since, multiple repurchases. Wonder why I didn't review this any sooner.. geeez.

I had my doubts with oil on my already half oily skin (used to be oilier in my early twenties). But, tried it and got hooked :P

Eve Taylor Says:
Face Oil No 1
For the Sensitive Skin. Soothe and Hydrate.

Recommended for skins that are sensitive, due to problems relating to allergies, hay fever, smoking, long haul travel, poor air quality etc.
Or experience itchiness, / touch sensitivity

Product does not contain Lanolin, Mineral Oil, Artificial fragrance, or SD alcohol

Foxy Frangipani Says:
Nett Wt: 10ml
Price: used to be RM38, now increased to RM46 (boo)
Scent: Very relaxing, obvious hint of eucalyptus
Texture: Clear, oil. Not thick.

This is like magic potion for me. On some days, my skin has its own PMS :P
Or when my hands got a lil itchy and I started to pick on those blackheads.. I end up with red patches on my face..

And then I would run off for this magic oil.. Just 2-3 drops and pat it on. Don't rub. Then followed by toner and the likes. Give it 20 mins.. the redness would be gone, completely! Really! Who wouldn't want that?

Oh, it does soothe itchiness as well..

I use this every alternate days now since my skin has improved. And its a shame Leonard Drake kept increasing its price. 10ml will last forever, so.. actually RM46 is an ok price.. just that I prefer to pay RM36! :P

Ingredients:
Contains pure essential oils of Geranium, Lavender, Cypress, Sandalwood, Eucalyptus, Soya Bean, Hazelnut, Avocado and Wheatgerm.
