Don`t you love how fresh you feel after a catnap? Don`t you want your complexion to mirror such heavenly freshness, too? We do – that`s why we concocted this purely natural recipe for you.
Apart from moisturizing Aloe Vera, long used by Thais to soothe tired and sore skin, we added the blissful scent of Jasmine. Thais find the smell of this tiny white flower both relxing and reviving.
In order to take advantage of its sensory benefits, our ancestors sprinkled Jasmine flowers in their bath and drinking water, even today many people hang fresh garlands on the rear – view mirrors in their cars for the same purpose.
Try our clay mask and witness your face come alive with a fresh, healthy glow – didn`t think it was possible to literally glow, did you? And in less time than your catnap, too.
How to stay pretty:
Apply an even layer onto your clean damp face, avoiding the eye contour. Leave this effective recipe on for 3 to 5 minutes for the nutrients to fully penetrate your skin. Wipe and rinse off.

Price: Roughly about 419 Baht
Texture: Cream
Scent: Very sweet comforting, like cream with nice hint of jasmine.
Made in: Thailand
What I like most about this is its scent!! Gorgeous jasmine but not overpowering. (I am tempted to try all things Jasmine).
Plus points: doesn't cause breakouts for my skin. Hydrating properties are good. I usually use this in the shower. After cleansing my face, slather on a thick layer and then proceed with shower / scrub routine. About 3-5 mins after that, I rinse off with cold water.
Easy to remove, does not leave oily residue (dries to clay).
There is nothing I dislike about this, however this is not a miracle product ;)
It does a great job in hydrating plus smells awesome, that's about all.

According to our survey, 99% of you wished you had a naturally translucent complexion. We can`t work miracles but we can share with you this terrific beauty recipe used by generations of Thai women to rejuvenate dull, tired skin.
Tamarind is a fruit that has long been used for its natural exfoliant properties, locals believe it brightens the skin too (this is probably due to its high AHA and Vitamin C content). Honey is widely used in Thai Spa`s to moisturize skin.
Try our clay mask with its honey-flavored scent and see your face brighten and your mood lighten.

I have been very tempted to include Cinnamon into part of my skincare routine. Of course, the packet of cinnamon powder stayed in the kitchen for a couple of weeks because my hobby is procrastinating? :P
Finally! I cut it open and store into the empty Gui Ling Gao containers (oh I love the size, just perfect for a quick mask mixture / storing my scrub / mask powders – more reasons to stock up hee).
I attempted my first facial mask with cinnamon powder, without any expectation in return. I just wanna try it. Instead of the infamous honey + cinnamon mix, I used yoghurt and cinnamon instead.
- 1 teaspoon of yoghurt
- ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon powder
Mix them well, and I started to really like the yummy smell..
This proportion is enough for 2-3 times use – I like to slather on a thick layer as a treat. So what happen then?
- I felt a stinging sensation, like slight burning for a good 2-3 mins!
- I left it on for about 15 mins
- It kinda thickened a little after a while
- Washed it off with a towel soaked in warm water.
Foxy Finds:
- This is best used at night just before you retire to bed; because it does leave a pinkish flush on my face for about 15-20 mins. Unless its Halloween and you wanna sport a baboon-arsed face.. Its gone after about 20 mins though.
- Face is really smooth to touch, very soft. Likes!
- Face looks hydrated, no tight feeling.
- The whole experience is really calming.. cinnamon makes me think cosy, and warm on a rainy day..
I did some Googling on Cinnamon for skin care and here are some infos:
- Cinnamon actually has antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. This could explain the burning sensation I felt? Further reads, some ppl do experience stingings / burnings sensation. But if it kills the germs for me and load my skin with antioxidant, heck the 2-3 mins are worth it!
- Remedy for Skin Imperfections: Applying equal quantities of a paste of Honey and Cinnamon Powder on the affected skin before sleeping and washing it the next day morning with warm water for about two weeks; would remove the infections and bring the glow back to the skin. Even pimples would disappear. Hmm I don’t think I could sleep with this on! So… sticky and may attract ants! Nooooo…
Say, a little more info on Cinnamon:
The name cinnamon comes from Greek kinnámōmon, from Phoenician and akin to Hebrew qinnâmôn, itself ultimately from a Malaysian language, cf. Malay and Indonesian kayu manis which means sweet wood.
Its flavour is due to an aromatic essential oil. This oil is prepared by roughly pounding the bark, macerating it in seawater, and then quickly distilling the whole. It is of a golden-yellow colour, with the characteristic odour of cinnamon and a very hot aromatic taste.
The pungent taste and scent come from cinnamic aldehyde or cinnamaldehyde and by the absorption of oxygen as it ages, it darkens in colour and develops resinous compounds. Chemical components of the essential oil include ethyl cinnamate, eugenol, cinnamaldehyde, beta-caryophyllene, linalool and methyl chavicol.
Some of its other uses:
- Cinnamon has aphrodisiacal powers. (Ooohh..?)
- Strengthens heart beat
- Reduces the cholesterol level in the arteries. Honey and Cinnamon revitalize arteries and veins by unclogging the clogged arteries and veins
- Arthritis: take daily morning and night one cup of hot water, with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of Cinnamon Powder. It is stated that if taken regularly, even chronic Arthritis can be cured.
- Bladder Infections: take two tablespoons of Cinnamon Powder and one teaspoon of Honey, in a glass of lukewarm water, and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.
- Toothache: make a paste of one teaspoon of Cinnamon Powder and five teaspoons of Honey and apply on the aching tooth. Apply three times.
- Weight loss: equal part of Cinnamon Powder and Honey is boiled in a cup of water and consumed daily half an hour before breakfast and before sleeping it reduces excess weight in an obese person. Whoaaa!
- Reduces fatigue
- Restore the hearing power from 20Hzs to 20Khz. Really!?
- Get rid of bad breath: Gargle a mixture of cinnamon and honey in water. Poor Listerine…
- Hair loss: Those suffering from hair loss or baldness, may apply a paste of hot olive oil, one tablespoon of honey, one teaspoon of cinnamon powder before bath and keep it for approx. 15 min. and then wash the hair. It was found to be very effective
There! So many benefits..
I will be continuing this yoghurt cinnamon mask.. :)
Here comes another review on my favourite beauty product - face mask! :)
After an hour, the mask was still moist - still felt comfy. But I quickly peeled it off, massaged a little, and then wiped clean with water. I can leave the essence on as it is not sticky; but I prefer to wipe it with water then proceed with my night skincare..
Hmmm what a weird name.. reconstruct what? I don't usually mask on Mondays (always home dead tired) but, today I needed a nap before waking up shortly to book my Zero Fare flight to Bangkok! :))
Suitable for all skin type, especially for aging skin.

First off, the packaging is not bad (ok I was "a little" attracted to the packaging)
I tell you, they are evil and have minds of their own!
They know I have a Service Award dinner tomorrow, and voila, they pop up on my chin - meet Mr Pimple!
Dang, I ran out of tumeric powder for a quick detox mask...
So my next best option - Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask.
I don't use this often because:
- It not easily available in Malaysia (boo)
- I got a small tube of 56g for $19 (USD5.40)! Holy.. that is a rip off! Walgreens sometimes has BOGO at USD3 for 226g!
I love it because:
- It really helps to clear off those nasties quick
- It doesn't leave me red patches, nor stings
- My nose don't hate it, minty like chewing gum :)
- It doesn't harden much when it dries.
- The cooling feeling stays.. mmm soothing...
- Spreads easily, soft texture but not runny
- I wish I can say because its cheap (it really is in the US) but... :(
Anyway, I'm hoping the red pop would pack and go by the time I wake up tomorrow.
Maybe I'll pat on some "bedak sejuk" on it.. nyehahahahah
Let's freeze our face!
Been sick for a while now, and my skin has became dull and lifeless. Time to pamper it to the max.
I've had this mask for quite a while.. and have mixed feelings over it.
Why I like it:
~ It firms my skin
~ It hydrates, making my skin look plump.
Why I'm not in love with it:
x It can be messy during application
x It does nothing to tighten my pores
x A tad difficult to wash off
x E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E
What I did:
Mix the liquid with the powder, and you need to mix them really fast else it curds up.
Slather on clean face and neck. One sachet is actually enough for 2 person, else put on a thicker layer including the neck..
Feels like: Jelly, yellowish
Smells like: Not heavily scented
Relax while waiting for mask to dry.. It tightens after some time, and then wash off.
I usually do this before shower so it doesn't mess up the bathroom and hair etc.
After masking:
~ Touch - feels smooooooth, and plumpy (like toink toink)
~ Look - a little brighter and livelier

Guardian Hydra Absolute Facial Treatment Mask
Posted by: Foxy Frangipani in Guardian, House Brands, Mask
Last weekend I went shopping @ Guardian with Mom and The Boyfriend.
Pleasant trip as I always end up buying something :P
Mom bought this Hydrating Mask from Guardian (about $13.90 I think). 5 Sheets per box.
She is very into anything hydrating.. lol. Anyway she gave me one to try on.
The Description:
Intensively hydrates and nourishes your delicate skin.
With: Phyto-collagen, Sodium Hyaluronate, Pomegranate Extract, B-glucan, Vitamin E.
-Formulated in Korea, made in China
User Feedback:
Upon opening the package, there are white colored essence inside. Similar to Cosway's Milk Mask.
There aren't too much essence like My Beauty Diary or Watsons' Mask, but enough to wet the mask sheet.
The smell isn't over-whelming, but nothing like pomegranate.
I had it on for about 30 mins (the instruction says 10-15 mins). By then the mask sheet was already half dried.
It left me with some stickish residue.. I massaged the essence in, but not comfy enough for me to sleep with it. So I wiped my face with sponge once-over and slathered on some moisturizer.
Overall I find this a so-so product. I don't think I will re-purchase this although I do find it hydrating. But Watson's are better.
